Nationwide programs have been organized to enlighten Iran about the personality of Imam Sajjad (AS)
Social: The cultural center of North Khorasan is organizing nationwide programs to enlighten Iran about the personality of Imam Sajjad (AS) and his martyrdom.

North Khorasan Province (Persian: استان خراسان شمالی‎‎, Ostān-e Khorāsān-e Shomālī) is a province located in northeastern Iran. Bojnord is the centre of the province. In 2014 it was placed in Region 5.

Other counties are Shirvan, Esfarayen, Maneh and Samalqan, Jajarm, Faroj and Garmeh.

North Khorasan is one of the three provinces that were created after the division of Khorasan in 2004.

According to a report of Shabestan news agency the head of cultural center of North Khorasan province, Hashim Shair Azyan said that the cultural center of North Khorasan is organizing nationwide programs to enlighten Iran about the personality of Imam Sajjad (AS) and his martyrdom.

Ali ibn Husayn (AS)also known as Zayn al-Abidin (the adornment of the worshippers) and Imam al-Sajjad (The Prostrating Imam), was the fourth Shia Imam, after his father Imam Hussain (AS) and his uncle Imam Hasan (AS), and his grandfather Hazrat Ali (AS). Imam Sajjad (AS) survived the Battle of Karbala and was taken, along with enslaved women, to the caliph in Damascus. Eventually, he was allowed to return to Medina, where he led a secluded life with a few intimate companions. Imam Sajjad's life and statements were entirely devoted to asceticism and religious teachings, mostly in the form of invocations and supplications. His famous supplications are known as Al-Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya.

Al-Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya is a book of supplications attributed to Imam Sajjad (AS). The book is said to have been composed after the Battle of Karbala (680 AD) and describes the relationship between man and almighty Allah. Although the book is principally a collection of Islamic knowledge and thought in supplication form, it is said to have played an important part in the uprising against the Umayyads. According to some scholars, al-Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya is an example of the highest form of eloquence, and its contents have been described and explained in many books of commentary. The main part of the book is mutawatir (conveyed by successive narration), but over the years a number of scholars have written addenda to it. Al-Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya is an important book for Shia Muslims.

Hashim Shair Azyan said that programs will include seminars, conferences and sessions to commemorate the battle of Karbala.

Competitions on writing essay on the life of Imam Sajjad (AS) are also included in those programs.

Several cities of Iran will also host international seminars about the life of Imam Sajjad (AS).
