Shabestan news agency: The holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said that almighty Allah accept the repentance of the human beings until the time of death. According to some Hadiths collected by Shia sources when signs of death appear the repentance of human beings is not accepted by almighty Allah. Allama Hassan Zada Amli explained the conditions of repentance in his book.
Sheikh Bahai Sharah Arbaeen in his book Riyaz Al Salkeen said that the major condition for the approval of repentance is the aim that the person asking for forgiveness will never perform the act of that kind again.
For example if a person was busy in illicit relationships during his whole life but then he feels ashamed of his sins and promises to never do that kind of sin again. Is it a condition for the repentance that the person should have the power to commit the sin again at the time of repentance?
Majority of the scholars believe that the repentance at the time of death is not right and might not be approved by almighty Allah.
The repentance of a disbeliever will not also be accepted because a painful punishment has been waiting for him.
