Nuclear seminar with EU token of Iran’s peaceful projects: Deputy FM
Shabestan news agency: “Holding the meeting in Isfahan means the EU has recognized Iran’s right to use peaceful nuclear energy and demands expansion of ties with Iran,” Abbas Araqchi said in a meeting with Governor-General of Isfahan Rasoul Zargarpour here on Wednesday. He said the seminar within the framework of the third high-ranking talks with the European Union will introduce Iran's capacities to the world, and added, “After the other countries are introduced with our abilities, they will respect our scientists’ achievements.'

Araqchi along with Deputy Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran for International, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Behrouz Kamalvandi were present in the two-day Seminar on Nuclear Cooperation, Progress and Landscapes, held within the framework of the third high-level talks between Iran and European Union in Isfahan on Tuesday. Helga Schmid, the EU foreign policy chief deputy, took part in the meeting.

The two-day seminar started in Isfahan on Tuesday following the third round of Iran-EU high-level talks started on Monday in Tehran, which focused on energy, environment, fighting drug trafficking, human rights, and regional developments.

Since the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as Iran Nuclear Deal, in January 2016, Iran and the EU has held two rounds of talks in Tehran and Brussels.

The JCPOA removed the legal obstacles of nuclear cooperation with Iran; the Annex 3 of the JCPOA encourages other countries to cooperate with Iran in peaceful nuclear energy.
