According to the Public Relations Department of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), a large number of Businessmen and Iranians residing in Russia and Iranian students, attended the Nowruz celebration in Russian capital.
Nowruz gathering of the Families of Iranian employees of Moscow-based institutions was held at the Islamic Center of Moscow. During the program hosted by the Iranian Embassy and the Islamic Center, the Moscow-based Iranian art group performed and the students of "Payam-e Imam School" also took part in the festivities.
Iranian Ambassador to Moscow, Mr. Jalili, congratulated the families present at the ceremony and presented a report on the measures taken to boost relations between Iran and Russia, and praised the families" contribution to the efforts in developing relations between the two countries.
The Head of the Islamic Center of Moscow, Hojatoleslam Akbari Jadid, congratulated the audience on Nowruz and Sha"baniyya festivities and hoped that the New Year would be a year with positive achievements for the Iranian people.

Also, the Iranian Ambassador and Cultural Attaché participated in production of a program titled "Nowruz in Russia". Nowruz celebrations held in various Russian universities due to the considerable number of students from Iran and other nations that celebrate Nowruz, in Russian universities.
